Many restaurants and bars stepped forward with job offers – very cool -  to affected employees of the restaurants that burned on Greenville and the G.A. location of Café Brazil continues to offer employees whose employment went up in smoke at Terilli’s, Hurricane Bar & Grill, Mick’s and Greenville Avenue Bar & Grill a complimentary entrée until March 31.  All they have to do is bring an old paycheck stub from one of the restaurants burned in the fire.

Not a big fan of the Yellow Pages?  Even we were impressed at a Tree House Restaurant they commissioned last fall for the owners in New Zealand using their Yellow customers that opened with a party for the suppliers.  Located in a Redwood tree, from concept to reality took about 60 days and opened in January 2009 to the public.

Lesley Gore will cry if she wants to at this concert with the Women’s Chorus of Dallas but we’re thinking the Grammy winner and Academy Award nominee probably won’t.  The Jersey girl and Sara Lawrence graduate has a lot to smile about after having been a teen wonder between 1963-1967 when she recorded hits such as It’s My Party, Judy’s Turn to Cry, She’s a Fool, That’s the Way Boys Are, Maybe I know, The Look of Love and Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows with her very young record producer at the time, Quincy Jones.
